New website. 'Orphan pictures' put online so owners can claim them
From the sexy to the silly, "orphan pictures" are being posted on the Internet in hopes of reuniting the images - and the lost cameras used to take them - with their original owners.
University of Winnipeg student Matt Preprost hopes to centralize people's posting efforts on the newly launched website ifoundyourcamera.net, which attracted more than 150,000 visitors

Saturday 22 September 2007 A Wartime Photographer in Her Own Light
... Now, 70 years after Ms. Taro’s death at age 26, the first major exhibition of her work begins Wednesday at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan. Many of Ms. Taro’s sympathetic and graphic photographs of supporters of the Spanish Republic will be seen for the first time. The exhibition is one of four concurrent shows at the Center related to the Spanish Civil War, including a display of Capa war pictures.

Crash kills renowned photographer
Fashion photographer Helmut Newton, known for his erotic black and white images, dies after a car crash in LA.
Mr Newton was pulling out of the car park at a Hollywood hotel when he lost control of his Cadillac limousine.
The hotel, which is just off Sunset Boulevard, is a favourite haunt of many of the stars he photographed.
Known for his erotic black and white images, Mr Newton's work appeared in some of the world's best known magazines such as Playboy and Vogue. see IOnOnE

Controversial film-maker Leni Riefenstahl, who made the Nazi propaganda film Triumph of the Will, has died aged 101.
Riefenstahl became a favourite of German dictator Adolf Hitler in the 1930s, making films for his fascist regime.
